R&D Center Conducts Specialized English Assessment for Transformer Professionals

On July 4th, the Group Technology Center, in collaboration with the Group Trade Union, organized a specialized English examination on transformers for 57 technical personnel from various technical departments.
Closely aligned with the Group's 2026 international market expansion strategy, this examination was designed to further enhance the foreign trade English proficiency of technical staff, solidify the professional foundation for overseas project technical coordination, bidding document preparation, and product technical services, and foster an excellent learning atmosphere where all employees are eager to learn, adept at learning, and committed to continuous improvement.
The examination covered a broad scope of content closely tied to frontline business operations, including general transformer terminology, international standard clauses in English, specialized English for type and routine tests, and foreign trade bidding and tendering clauses—all calibrated to the full-process technical coordination requirements of overseas projects. During the preparation period, all technical center staff proactively utilized their spare time for independent study. Through systematic learning, they gained a clear understanding of international market technical standards, identified their own professional gaps, and used study to drive practice—continuously strengthening their professional English foundation and refining their comprehensive product design capabilities. Additionally, the results of this English examination will serve as a reference for technical staff competency assessments.
The entire examination was conducted in closed-book format. Following unified grading and rigorous evaluation, Xu Mengtao from the Main Transformer Technology Department won first prize; Shen Jiafeng and Chen Yuhui from the Main Transformer Technology Department won second prize; and Xu Jiana and Xiang Yingting from the Distribution Transformer Technology Department, along with Zhou Qifeng from the Main Transformer Technology Department, won third prize. All technical staff are encouraged to take this specialized examination as an opportunity and the award-winning colleagues as role models, continuously improving their professional English proficiency to provide technical support for the company's overseas market development.
